It posses the biggest stupa in Tibet and beside it lies plakor monastery where you see the oldest chapels made out of sandalwood.Overnight in Hotel|
|1||8||Gyantse to Shigatse||Shilagatse is a modern town of present day in Tibet and is the second largest to Lhasa.Overnight in Hotel.You will visit the magnificent Tashilumpo monastery:the seat of panchen lama who is regarded as the second highest to Dalai Lama.Overnight in Hotel.|
|2||9||Shigatse to Lhatse (3950m)||You will visit sakya monastery.One of the oldest monastery of the sakya sect in Tibet along the way to Lhatse.|
|3||10||Lhatse to Rongbuk Monastery-4900m and Everest Base Camp-5150m||Not far from Lhatse ;this may be done as a day trip back to Lhatse overnight.Alternatively,you can stay at Rongbuk but accommodation is not of a great standard and it is generally freezing and very highin altitude spend time at Rongbuk Monastery- the highest in Tibet and also the oldest of the Gelugpa sect and go to Everest Base camp and see the view of Everest|
|4||11||Rongbuk or Lhaste to Tingri- 4250 m||Driving along quite rough roads ,you may have the occasional encounter with nomadic yak herders and have 5an opportunity to capture p6hotos and stretch your Legs.Over night in Guest house.|

The drive continues over Lalung-la pass (5050) where you will see the spectacular view of Xixapangma (8013)- the highest mountain over 8000m entirely in Tibet ,and some of its adjoining peaks in the range.Nearby,you can visit the cave of the Famous Tibetan mystic and poet Milarepa.
